About
Elmarie Basson started as a Senior Technologist at Allan Kwon-Hoo architects in Kimberley who mainly focused on Prisons, Hospitals and Schools. Thereafter she joined Ferdi van Gass Architects and was part of the Coordination and Design team for the Northern Cape Legislature Complex in Kimberly together with Luis Ferreira da Silva Architects. During the period she also qualified herself through Damelin in Project Management where she also obtained the highest marks and a Merit Award for Project management. After Ferdi van Gass closed his practice she opened her own draughting services under Teemane Architecture where she mainly focussed on town house complexes. She was then head hunted for a position at Prism architects in Polokwane and specialised in multi floor office blocks, CTM warehouses and Car dealership Showrooms and Workshops. She was also part of the team that designed and constructed the Peter Mokaba Staduim in 2010 for the Soccer World cup. During her time here, she completed her SACAP exams and Portfolio and qualified in 2009 as a Professional Architect. After she moved to the Vaal triangle she joined Simons and Lee Architects in Sasolburg where she focussed on Commercial, Domestic and Warehouse projects.

Recent Projects

Internal Changes Lounge/Dining Area
The scope of work comprised removing parque timber flooring, and re-tile entrance/lounge and dining area. Timber & face brick a face lift at areas given where after area was repainted. Existing fireplace wall was finished with a beautiful dark pandoma cement textured wall. A beautiful custom-made stainless-steel grid and tray finished the fireplace.
